Captionfish iPhone application now available for download!

After numerous requests, we are happy to announce that the Captionfish iPhone app is now available for FREE download from iTunes! Visit our iPhone page for more details about the app and download link. You can also view the press release.

Working on this app has been a wild ride for us full of learned experiences and we hope you enjoy the hard work we’ve put into it. The biggest accomplishment we feel this app achieves is the ability to show captioned trailers. It is NOT being done anywhere else and this feature was so important to us to bring to everyone so we can enjoy the same trailers on equal footing with our hearing counterparts.

This is not the end of the road for the iPhone app. We wanted to get it off to a good start by crafting a solid experience around the core service of presenting the data. Coming up would be new features and enhancements focused on context/relevance (maps for example), personalization (favoriting), and sharing (social media), in that order. Along the way in between these milestones would be minor maintenance and bug fix releases. If you have suggestions or feedback, please let us know.

We do plan to support other platforms through Captionfish’s MovieShare™ platform but a timeline has not been determined yet.

The Captionfish iPhone app has been submitted to Apple for approval. Now we sit and wait!

What a journey to get to this point. Thanks to everyone for all their support and enthusiasm. We are excited to get this out onto all your iPhones and iPod Touches using iOS4.

Where is Eat Pray Love playing?

Hello everyone!

Thank you for all your emails asking if Eat Play Love will come to your area. Eat Pray Love has generated a lot of interest and looks like a great movie!

Captionfish makes all its information available to you, and that includes all the information we know about Eat Pray Love. Here's what we recommend you do:

1) Check Eat Pray Love's nationwide schedule. Every theater that Captionfish knows about that's playing Eat Pray Love is listed here. No information is withheld.

Captionfish updates its database frequently. You could keep checking back to see if it's updated whenever you like...

2) Sign up for an email notification which is on the right side of Eat Pray Love's movie details page. If Eat Pray Love is not playing in your area yet, chances are it may come to your area soon. Many theaters decide on movies within a 7-day window because of how they evaluate a movie's box office performance over a weekend, so as the next several days go by, there should be some updates to the schedule page.
